The Malta Red Cross Society has issued a warning to swimmers because of the rough seas that are hitting parts of Malta’s coast.
The Force 5 winds have made swimming in various bays dangerous, Red Cross said.
These include Fajtata in Marsascala, Ford Ghadir in Sliema, Ghadira Bay, Qawra and Pretty Bay.
Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay are carrying yellow flags and inexperienced swimmers should avoid these areas.
The Red Cross suggested St George’s Bay and the Perched Beach in Bugibba as places where swimmers could enjoy the day.
