The summer programme which will include the Bank of Valletta Premier League and the KO, gets under way on Sunday at the National Pool at Tal-Qroqq with the staging of the three annual Cup matches.

The opening fixture is that for the women's Super Cup where Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate will be facing Exiles Jetfreight.

In the second encounter - for the Ghaqda Gurnalisti Sports Cup - Marsaxlokk Browns Pharmacy will fight it out with Birzebbuga Freeport. The most important encounter is that for the President's Cup which will be contested by current champions San Giljan TUM Invest and Neptunes Leo Vegas. The Saints will be looking for their third consecutive honour this year, having already won the Enemed Cup and the Winter League, after having won all competitions last year.

However, it will not be so easy this time round, as their Balluta Bay rivals Neptunes will be aiming to stop the Saints' impressive unbeaten run.
