David Spiteri Gingell has been tasked with leading the process to reform the structure and management of Gozo Channel Ltd, the Gozo Ministry said on Wednesday evening.

As a result of this process, the company will be better prepared to handle an increase in demand for its services.

The process will be led by a management revision board that has been appointed by the ministry. The board members include the chairman of Gozo Channel Ltd and other people with experience in the sector, the ministry said.

The first meeting was held on Wednesday, with the board approving a strategy that will lead the company to operate more efficiently.

The strategy focuses on the reorganisation of the company, including better management of its assets and the drafting of more modern operating systems.
