San Giljan Tum Invest survived something of a scare in their first match against Exiles Jetfreight who gave them an excellent run for their money and were actually level pegging up till the third session before the Saints prevailed 15-12. Captain Matthew Zammit and Dino Zammit were crucial for San Giljan with four goals apiece while for Exiles, Benji Lanzon was the star player with a poker too. It was San Giljan's 42nd victory in a row.
The first session was a close affair with Exiles surprisingly resilient and it ended 4-4. Peter Borg scored a brace with Matthew Zammit and Obradovic adding another for San Giljan. Exiles replied through Benji Lanzon who also scored two with Nikic and Aurelian Cousin scoring the other goals.
Exiles continued strongly in the second session which ended 3-2 in their favour for them to take a 7-6 lead at the change of ends. Nicky Paris, Lanzon and Andrea Bianchi struck for Exiles with Matthew Zammit and Ben Plumpton replying for the Saints.
San Giljan went back in front in the third session, which they won 4-2. Matthew Zammit equalised for San Giljan but Benji Lanzon gave Exiles the lead again, with goals from Dino Zammit (SG), Aurelian Cousin (EX) continuing the see-saw match before Dino Zammit and Paulo Obradovic gave the Saints a one-goal cushion for the final session.
San Giljan emphasised their superiority in the final session with Ben Plumpton putting them further ahead before Timmy Sullivan and Slobodan Nikic scored either side of a Matthew Zammit strike. Dino Zammit and Ben Plumpton scored further goals with Benji Laznon scoring for Exiles for a final score of 15-12 in favour of San Giljan.

Sliema Frank Salt Real Estate got off to an excellent start to their Premier League commitments with a comprehensive 12-5 victory over Sirens Ritter Sport. Sliema's star players were Jerome Gabaretta with 3 goals and Nicholas Bugelli with four goals.
Sliema won the first session 3-1 with goals coming from Michael Spiteri Staines, Nicholas Bugelli and Christian Presciutti while Sirens replied through Marc Grech. The second session saw Sliema increase their lead with an emphatic 4-1 win. Edward aquiline initially reduced the deficit for Sirens but goals from Jerome Gabaretta and Nicholas Bugelli put Sliema firmly in the driving seat.
The third session also saw Sliema on top with a 3-1 win. Goals from Mark Meli, Jamie Gambin and Jerome Gabarretta were balanced out by a Christian Mirarci strike but Sliema had already secured the win taking revenge from their two defeats in the Winter League. The fourth session ended 2-2 where Zach Mizzi and Nicholas Bugelli put Sliema further ahead before Mirarci and Aquilina scored two late goals to add some respectability to the result.

Birzebbugia Freeport began their First Division Commitments with an excellent 12-8 victory over Marsaskala Transkripta. Marsaskala had Michael Cutajar and Darko Brgulan on top form with three goals each
The first session saw Marsaskala win 4-1. Jean Claude Cutajar opened the scoring for Marsaskala before Mikhail Cutajar made it 1-1 for Birzebbugia. Christian Mifsud and Andrija Vlahovic put Marsaskala 4-1 up. However, Birzebbugia upped the ante in the scond session turning around the game with a 5-1 win. Mikhail Cutajar, David Pace Lupi and David Cutajar scored Birzebbugia with Marsaskala's solitary goal coming from David Borg Millo.
Birzebbugia continued widening their lead in the third session with a 5-2 victory to wrap up the encounter. Darko Brguljan, Simon Vassallo, Stephen Micallef and Neil Cassar scored for the Freeport team with Marsaskala netting through Jean Claude Cutajar and Reinhard Attard. The fourth session was a quieter affair ending 1-1 for a final score of 12-8 for Birzebbugia
