The World Cup kicks off today with the first match to be played at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia.

The game will be preceded by a short opening ceremony.

As announced yesterday, The Malta Independent website will be featuring short videos in which children aged between four and six take part in “races” to “predict” the outcome of the games.
