€100 stolen in Tarxien hold-up, employees treated for shock

Some €100 in cash was stolen in a hold-up on a shop in Tarxuen, the police said.

The incident took place at 12.30pm in Karlu Maratta Street.

The police said that a hooded man armed with a knife entered the shop demanding money. The sales assistant, a 27-year-old of Zabbar, handed over the cash.

Another employee, a 46-year-old Tunisian woman who residesin Cospicua, was in the shop at the time.

Both employees were treated for shock.
