Malta Government Investments (MGI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Caisse Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), the investment arm of the French government.

Speaking at signing at MGI offices in Tigne’ Point, Economy Minister Chris Cordona said that the MoU will further the development of enterprise, promote further collaboration, and provide technical expertise.

Cardona praised the work done by MGI and CDC, describing the former as the main government entity, which builds networks, fosters cooperation, and synergises the private and public sectors.

“[The MoU] confirms the government’s objective to create and preserve wealth for future generations,” Cardona said.

Lauren Zylberberg from CDC and Herald Bonnici, CEO of MGI, both highlighted the importance of collaboration in the face of an evolving economy and changing European landscape.
