The PN has disapproved of government's nominee for the post of Permanent Representative to the EU.
The PN, in a statement, said that in the Committee for Parliamentary scrutiny on 20 June, PN MPs voted against government's nomination for Daniel Azzopardi to be appointed as the Permanent Representative to the EU, adding that this was the first time there was no agreement
The PN said that its members voted against as they are convinced this is the wrong choice, and that at a time when Malta is facing great challenges in the EU, government's appointment should have been given to someone with a lot more experience. "The national interest was ignored."
