Prime Minister Joseph Muscat today met with PC Simon Schembri and his family, and asked him, if possible, to stay on the force to continue serving as inspiration to the public.

Schembri thanked the Government for the assistance it is providing toward his recovery, including advanced prosthetics.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Chris Fearne, Minister of the Interior and National Security Michael Farrugia, Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar and Permanent Secretary Kevin Mahoney.
