Four Maltese men have been arrested in two separate drug busts, the police said.
In the first case, the police arrested a 28-year-old man who had been under surveillance for a number of days. The man was arrested in Marsaxlokk.
He was found to be carrying an undisclosed amount of cash, sachets with a white substance suspected to be cocaine and a bag of suspected cannabis.
In the second case, three men whose ages vary between 18 and 49 years were arrested at a San Gwann establishment during the night between Saturday and Sunday. The men were carrying suspected cocaine.
Inside the establishment, officers also found a pouch filled with sachets of white powder ready to be trafficked.
Magistrate Joe Mifsud has launched an inquiry.
Investigations in both cases are ongoing.
