Prime Minister Joseph Muscat leads Opposition Leader Adrian Delia by 26.2% in a survey published on Sunday in GWU newspaper it-Torca.
The survey was carried out by respected statistician Vincent Marmara.
62.8% of survey respondents said they backed Joseph Muscat, compared to 36.6% who backed the PN leader.
On a party level, the Labour Party leads the PN by 17.8%, equivalent to an advantage of 55,000 votes.
The survey was carried out just over a year after Labour was re-elected with a resounding majority. At the general election, the Labour Party won 54.83% while the Forza Nazzjonali alliance led by the PN won 43.34%. Delia was elected PN leader six after the last election.
