A teenager was found dead on the seabed at St Peter’s Pool, limits of Marsaxlokk, this morning, the police said.

The teenager, a 17-year-old Spaniard, was reported missing yesterday at around 7.20pm and a search was mounted for him in the area.

The search was suspended when it grew dark and resumed this morning.

The body of the youngster was located at the bottom on the sea at St Peter’s Pool at around 8am.

The police are investigating.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit is conducting an inquiry.
