Archbishop Charles Scicluna has led a pilgraimage of young people to the Holy Land.

During the eight days spent there, the group visited the Jordan River where they renewed their baptism vows, the tomb where Lazarus was buried, the city of Jericho and the Dead Sea.

They also visited the Nativity chapel in Bethlehem while, in Jerusalem, they visited the Gethsemane Basilica.

The climax of the pilgrimage was a procession with reflections on the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, followed by a Mass at the basilica on the site of Christ’s burial place.
