Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri entered a not guilty plea and requested bail. The accused would live with his grandmother if released from arrest, Debono said.

The court upheld the request, placing the boy under a personal guarantee of €7,000, emphasising the importance of him abiding by his bail conditions and warning him that the slightest omission would be a crime in itself and result in his arrest.

He was ordered to sign bail book three times a week and observe a curfew.

He is not allowed to go to Cospicua until proceedings are finished.

Earlier, the police said that four people were injured in the fight.
