Three men were arrested by the police on Thursday evening after 200 kilogrammes of drugs were seized, the police said today.

The three men, two Sicilians aged 30 and 31 and a San Gwann man, aged 28, were caught in possession of 100 kilogrammes of cannabis resin and 100 kilogrammes of cannabis. The drugs were hidden in a consignment of fruit in two separate vans.

Magistrate Caroline Galea Sciberras is conducting an inquiry.
