Sunday, 5 August 2018, 17:06 Last update: about 7 years ago

Police officers were called to St Julian’s Bay as young foreign men were swimming in the nude.

The young men, at least four, were swimming in the area between the San Giljan waterpolo club and Spinola Bay.

There were several beer bottles lined up on the walkway that makes access to the sea easier.

Police officers on site requested the young men to put on their bathing suits from the promenade before getting out of the water.

Some of them complied, but at least one of the men swam to the other side of the bay in an attempt to escape from the officers.

One officer was heard telling one of the men: “Tell your friend that he will be arrested” when he decides to get out of the water.

The officers were seen taking down the particulars of the men.
