SLIEMA FRANK SALT                13
VALLETTA VIDEOSLOTS             3
(2-1), (2-1), (4-0), (5-1)

After losing in the dying moments against champions San Ġiljan, Sliema Frank Salt returned to winning ways in a commanding fashion, defeating bottom side Valletta Videoslots 13-3.

Sliema needed this win to keep hoping of finishing second in this phase and go directly to the semi-finals. They found it quite difficult in the early stages of the game, but from the third session, Sliema commanded the pace and found no difficulty in securing a preciouss win.

Sliema had only a two-goal lead by the end of the second session, winning both sessions 2-1. Christian Presciutti and Nicholas Bugelli scored for Sliema in the first session, while Marthon Toth equalised partially.

Jerome Gabarretta made it 3-1inside the first two minutes of the second session. Valletta pulled one back from their next attack from Charlie Zammit, but Michael Spiteri Staines gave Sliema the important double advantage with a powerful shot from a central position.

Valletta started to collapse in the third session as Sliema were taking advantage from the space that was given to them, something that they hadn't in the opening sessions.

Christian Presciutti scored a bit after a minute from the third session, and goals by Michael Spiteri Staines and again from Presciutti in few seconds, paved the way for the win. Bugelli made it 8-2.

As the game was set, goals kept coming for Sliema in the last session. They scored five goals in periodical moments, as Sergio Afric rotated his squad while keeping his regular players. Valletta tried to limit the damage but were demoralised to keep fighting till the last second.
