The Customs Department intensified its campaign through a number of inspections around Malta.

Contraband cigarettes and alcohol were found in birkirkara, Naxxar, Zabbar, Valletta and Msida,

The largest inveswtigation involved a mini market in Msida, where 268 bottles of contraband alcohol were found as well as 163 Excise Duty labels thast were meant to be stuck on other bottles.

The Customs Department appealed to the public to anonimously report any contraband found by calling 2568 5124 or 2568 5200.
