Awards and scholarships for the passion of Flamenco

Alegria Academia de Baile Flamenco recently celebrated the end of it's Scholastic Year with their annual Fiesta was held at Bottegin Palazzo Xara in Rabat.

As per previous years all the members of the Academy and members of Alegria Dance Company had reason to celebrate.  Alegria has been kept very busy with various projects and performances and all those who attempted the Alianza Flamenca Assessments all succeeded in obtaining their Diploma.  In fact they

The highlight of the evening were the awards and Alegria is very proud to have awarded 6 awards : Alegria Dance Company Commitment went to Justine Lanzon, The Young Achievers Award went to Katrina Fenech, The Alianza Flamenca Award went to a beginner student from Gozo, Christianne Cassar.  The Puerto Flamenco Award went to Laura Agius and the Dhalia Local Award went to another Gozitan student, Laura Ellis.  Last of all the Comsec International Award went to Martina Joy Azzopardi who will be attending a course at the Festival de Jerez in 2019.

The members of the Academy are now on a well deserved break before starting the scholastic year and preparations for the Academy Performance to be held in November 2019.  Alegria Dance Company and members from the Academy will also be performing in the forthcoming Notte Bianca on 6 October. 

A Free Trial Class for kids and adults will be held on 12 September and the term will be commencing from 1 October.
