The Alleanza Bidla Party is inviting Maltese mayors to attend The International Mayors Conference for Sustainable and Liveable Cities to be held in Yerevan, Armenia between 7 and 9 September.

The conference will explore how cities can become more liveable and resilient through better governance and planning, technical and social innovations as well as through various stakeholders and co-operation with other cities.

Extending the invitation to Maltese mayors, the party said, "This is a unique opportunity for Maltese and international mayors to come together, establish contacts, share ideas and create potential opportunities to enhance our own communities in collaboration with like minded people.

"Through our contacts with parties in the Armenian coalition government, Alleanza has arranged for mayors from Libya, Italy, Holland, Spain, Sweden, Slovakia and America to be invited and participate in this unique event.

"We see this as an opportunity for mayors from different countries to work directly at an international level, irrespective of their political allegiance but always with their locality's best interest in mind.

Any Maltese mayor who wishes to participate or know more about this event should contact Alleanza Bidla as soon as possible on [email protected] or on 79879879.

Space is limited but all expenses such as flights and five-star hotel accommodation are paid for those wishing to participate and are accredited.
