Friday, 31 August 2018, 13:22 Last update: about 7 years ago

Valletta FC Futsal moved a step closer to the Main Round’s qualification, after beating Irish Futsamba Naas 5-0 in Group E of the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Valletta again grasped an early advantage through a shot from a distance of Murtaz Kakabadze. Five minutes later Denis Di Maio doubled the score, which was followed with another shot in the net only a minute later by Ninoslav Aleksic. Valletta headed to the half time with a comfortable advantage of 3-0.

The second half turned out to be a continuation of Valletta’s winning mentality. In fact, on the 27th minute after a quick counter attack, Camillo Gomez also found the net. This was followed by Aleksic’s personal brace on the 38th minute, sealing an end result of 5-0 for Valletta.

This win filled up Valletta’s clan with jubilation. However, it will also require more attention and determination for Saturday’s last group match, where only one team has to qualify to the next round. On Saturday Valletta will face hosts Veles who also won their first two group matches. This decisive encounter kicks off at 8pm at the Jane Sandanski Arena in Skopje, Macedonia.
