A motorcyclist was seriously injured this morning in a crash which took place in Mgarr, the police said.

The accident happened at 6.30am in San Martin Road.

The biker, a 27-year-old man of Marsascala, was involved in a crash with a car driven by a 58-year-old Tunisian man resident in Mellieha.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
