Balzan gained their second consecutive victory of the season easily disposing of a sorry Senglea side in a one-sided affair. Balzan were completely superior, even though Senglea hit the crossbar in the first real danger of the match.

But for the rest of the match Senglea had little or nothing to offer as Balzan strolled through, playing some good football in the process. Andrija Majdevac was surely the best player on the field of play, and goals apart was adelight to watch.

As usual Lecao was unstoppable in his runs with Bozovic in inspiring form, having a say in two of the goals scored. Alfred Effiong and Lepovic were always in the thick of the action. Balzan are well on track for another season among the top clubs as they are still in search of their first major honour, an honour which they will try to win this season.

For Senglea this was the third consecutive defeat, with yesterday's being the worst so far. The side is still in search of the first goal and are heading for a very difficult season, struggling against relegation.

After four minutes Lepovic missed a sitter in front of goal hitting over the bar after a Majdevac move on the left flank. On eleven minutes Senglea were unlucky when a Salvati freekick smashed against the crossbar.

Balzan however were in full command with Lecao and Majdevac in the thick of the action. Lepovic had a good effort from an acute angle saved by Farrugia and on 25 minutes Balzan won a penalty when Alfred Effiong was tripped by Gonzalez and from the penalty spot Andrija Majdevac made no mistake sending Farrugia the wrong way.

After this goal Balzan reduced their tempo even  though they still were in full control. This however gave Senglea some breathing space as they ventured forward in a couple of occassions evn having a Tcanturia dipper going over the bar.

On 42 minutes however Balzan doubled the score. Ivan Bozovic did all the spadework on the right flank and crossed towards Milos Lepovic who from the heart of the penalty area fired in the roof of the net.

Just before the break Balzan went close again with Lecao passing towards Alfred Effiong who shot wide from an ideal position.

A minute into the second half Balzan went close to scoring a third goal when Majdevac dribbled past the goalkeeper but his effort was brilliantly blocked on the goal line by defender Andre White. But a minute past the hour Balzan did make it three.

Lecao passed towards Bozovic whos inch-perfect cross was met by Majdevac who planted the ball home from close range. Three minutes later the score was 4-0 as Senglea were now at their opponents mercy. Dale Camilleri scored his first goal of the season scoring with a low drive from well inside the area.

Three minutes from time Lecao was floored by Tcanturia and from the penalty spot the same Lecao made no mistake.
