A young woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in St Julian’s this afternoon, the police said.

The woman, a Venezuelan 21-year-old who resides in St Julian’s, was hit by an Audi A2 driven by a 27-year-old of Gzira.

The police said the woman suffered serious injuries.

The accident took place in Gorg Borg Olivier Street at 1pm.
