Air Malta flight returns to Luqa after bird strike

Air Malta flight KM100 scheduled to leave at 7.20am to London from Malta International Airport was involved in a bird strike upon departure this morning, with the aircraft returning to base for the necessary inspections, the MIA said in a statement

An internal investigation into the case has been launched.

MIA apologised for the inconvenience caused and is working with the airline to assist the affected passengers.

No statement has been released by Air Malta.
