The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses said its members will start following industrial action as from Saturday unless its conditions are met by Friday.
In a statement, the MUMN said that it has been waiting for four weeks for the government to finalise a document on a new collective agreement for nurses and midwives.
The union has informed both the Health Ministry and the Family Ministry that it unless it receives the final document on Friday, industrial action will be taken as from Saturday at 7am.
The directives involve nurses and midwives working in hospitals, elderly people’s homes, health centre and other sectors.
