Within one month of its creation, the committee has already made several eco-friendly changes, including trading its delivery vehicle for an electric van; paper reduction, reusing and recycling systems; water and energy conservation systems; fund-raising for Nature Trust; introducing plastic waste collection; battery and cartridge recycling systems and more.

The company also has dozens of other exciting green initiatives in the pipeline which it is looking to implement within the coming months, within the company and beyond.

Kate de Cesare, director of Operations and chair of the Green Committee at Eden Leisure Group said: "The principle aim of the committee is to help the various departments implement greener practices to make it easier for staff and our patrons to reduce waste.  With our Green Committee, we will be making significant changes to reduce our waste footprint and energy consumption and will be encouraging others to follow suit in our mission to making Malta greener."
