The tournament consisted of separate Team and Individual events.

The Team event was actually a triangular tournament that featured a second Maltese squad - Shuttlerockers. Each fixture was made up of five separate matches: Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles as well as Mixed Doubles.

The Individual event consisted of separate Singles and Doubles competitions.

The overall tournament was played at St Martin's College in Swatar and was spread over an entire weekend.

The team tournament was won by the Sicilian squad, with Shuttlerockers placing second.

In the Individual events, there was particular satisfaction at the fact that the Women's Singles final was contested  by two local girls: Elenia Haber and Christabel Cachia, with the former taking the coveted title from her Shuttlerockers team mate.

The two girls then partnered each other and went on to win the Women's Doubles title as well.

The following are the winners of the other two Individual titles:

Men' Singles: Luigi Izzo;

Men's Doubles: Roberto La Rocca / Salvatore Santangelo.

The MABC expressed its considerable satisfaction at the enthusiastic participation of the Maltese players as well as at the high standard of play shown throughout the event.

It reaffirmed its continued commitment to provide all its members with such opportunities in future so as to enhance their continued development.
