A 35-year-old woman was hit by a car this evening at around 7pm in Birzebbuga, the police said.

The car, a Mitsubishi, was being driven by a 67-year-old man from Zurrieq.

An ambulance arrived at the scene and took the woman to Mater Dei Hospital. Her condition is still unknown.

The woman lives in Birzebbuga.

Police investigation is still ongoing.
