A vibrant crowd gathered at Medasia Playa in Sliema on Saturday 22 September, to celebrate the end of Summer and to assist Victim Support Malta with their fundraising event ‘Summer Sunset 2018 Dine and Wine’.

Victim Support Malta (VSM) is a registered Non-governmentalorganisation which provides support and assistance to victims of crime such as theft and burglary, domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment, discrimination and cybercrime.

The fundraising event, which took place at one of Malta’s trendiest beach clubs, included live entertainment by Cliff Zammit Stevens and Petra, who proved to be the perfect guests.

Cliff (the Tenor) has been dubbed a ‘revelation’ and recently founded ‘The Marcy Foundation’, which raises awareness and tackles issues including domestic violence and mental health.

Petra, who is well known in the local music scene, having participated in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, performed her song ‘Evolution’ which focuses on the evolvement of persons through the struggles they encounter.

Medasia Playa, a venue which offers a relaxing ambiance and combines the elements of music, dining, entertainment and art all into one, was able to raise over one thousand euros, which will be used to support victims of crime.

A special thank you goes to Hezron Muscat, MarketingManagerof Medasia Playa and Fiorella Ellul, General Manager of TBWA\ANG who worked together to make the event a success. Also to Band Aid Malta who provided the sound equipment for the evening entertainment.
