A 57-yea-old man from Marsa has pleaded guilty to stealing €5000 from a care home in Cospicua.

Raymond Bonnici was arraigned before magistrate Josette Demicoli by Inspector Mario Xiberras today, charged with theft aggravated by value and place.

Bonnici admitted the charge and was handed an 18-month prison sentence, suspended for 3 years. He was also given 30 months in which he is to repay the stolen money.

Lawyer Jacques Grima prosecuted.
