Hours before dying in a motorbike crash, rider Chris Marlin told his “loved ones” not to worry about him “every time I climb onto my bike”.

As if pre-empting what was about to happen to him, Marlin wrote on Facebook that “this could be my last” and “if that is the case, I’m sorry I left on such short notice.”

Marlin, an Express Trailers driver, died when the bike he was riding crashed into a roundabout in Tarxien just after midnight on Sunday, 21 October.
