A wall has collapsed onto a major road in Birkirkara, causing a traffic disruption in the area.

The wall collapsed early this morning, possibly as a consequence of the bad weather we had in the past hours.

The accident took place in Naxxar Road, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the area.

Government workers are hastily removing the stone slabs and other debris before the road could be restored to regular traffic flow. As it is now, only one lane is being used.
