Mount Carmel Hospital patient remanded in custody after attacking man and harassing woman

A patient at Mount Carmel Hospital has been remanded in custody after attacking a man and harassing a woman.

The 37-year-old male was arraigned before duty magistrate Audrey Demicoli by Inspector Roderick Spiteri.

He was accused of attacking and slightly injuring a man and smashing his glasses at the psychiatric hospital on 22 October. He was also charged with harassing a woman, misuse of telecommunications equipment, insulting and threatening her.


Lawyer Charmaine Cherrett, appearing for the accused, entered a not guilty plea. Bail was not requested.
