A German woman lost her life this morning, after facing difficulties while diving, a police statement read.

The woman was in the area known as tal-Kantra, Ta' Cenc Gozo. The 55-year-old German woman was assisted by a medical team, however was certified as dead.

A Magisterial inquiry was called and investigations are ongoing.
