31 migrants arrested after being found living in a Hamrun house

31 migrants who were living irregularly in a house on Farsons Road, Hamrun, were arrested today.

TVM reports that at around 8.30 am, the police went on site, and a number of the migrants tried to escape over the rooftops, however were caught by the police.

The police are talking to the owner of the house who, on his part, cooperated with the police.

Reports read that the majority if the migrants are from  Gambia, Mali and Senegal, and they will be subject to immigration checks.
