Monday, 5 November 2018, 12:13 Last update: about 6 years ago

Former Prime Minister and Maltese MEP Alfred Sant will address a Conference on Brexit effects on Malta, to be held on Friday.

The conference will touch various topis related to Brexit. What are the prospects for the UK and for the EU member states?  How will the UK exit from the EU affect Maltese and Gozitan citizens? What impact will it have on the Maltese islands’ economy? And why are EU and UK leading figures still fomenting the idea of a second referendum? The public is being invited to participate in the conference to better understand the challenges facing Malta and Gozo in this particular point of history in the EU.

The conference, organised by the Malta Office of MEP Alfred Sant with the collaboration of the S&D Group at the European Parliament, will be held on Friday, 9 November at 7pm at the Suncrest Hotel, Qawra. Journalist Karl Stagno Navarra will chair the conference.

Those who need further information can contact Sant’s office on email address [email protected] or phone number 21490705. A reception will follow. Entrance is free.
