Local international basketball referee Bernard Vassallo will this week travel to Germany where he will be involved in two respective European cup games.
Wurzburg will be his first destination as on Wednesday 7th November he will officiate the FIBA Europe Cup Group A game, to be played in the Oliver Arena, between hosts Wurzburg and CSM Oradea from Romania.
This is the fourth day in the group stage and presently Wurzburg are joint group leaders with two wins whilst Oradea are just a game behind.
On Thursday 8th November, Vassallo will move to Keltern to officiate the third round FIBA Euro Cup Group I women game which will be played in the Speiterling Halle between hosts Keltern and the French outfit Lyon Asvel. Both sides are in the second place, behind Montpellier, in the four team group with a win from two games.
The officiating crew for these games, apart from Vassallo, will consist of Marek Malicewski (Poland) and Christoph Rohacky (Austria).
