BOV holds Seminar for Investment Advisors

Regulatory issues and global trade tension on the agenda 

The regulatory issues and processes that many current and potential investors face when considering an investment, and global trade tension were on the agenda during a seminar for Investment Specialists at Bank of Valletta. 

'Bank of Valletta's dedicated team of experts keep up to date with regulatory changes, emerging risks and hot topics in global trade to assist investors in reaching their long-term investment goals,' said Romeo Cutajar, Chief Officer Investments Services at BOV. 'Further regulation is expected to be introduced later this year and we are already upgrading our business models to enable us to engage productively with our investors'

Presentations on the current global trade war tensions across all markets for the first half of 2018, the local equity scene and new GDPR rules created interest and discussion among the audience.

The seminar culminated with Joe Fenech, CEO Corporate at International Hotel Investments who spoke passionately about the developments of IHI, since its humble origins to today becoming one of the largest hotel operators based in Malta with a global operation.
