There are 247 educators without work laptops, Minister for Education and Employment EvaristBartolo said in response to a Parliamentary Question on Monday.

MP Ryan Callus asked Bartolo for the exact number of government teachers who are currently still without laptops.

On this issue, the Malta Union for Teachers (MUT) has been in contact with the Ministry for Education and Employment since September.

MUT has scheduled a meeting with the ministry and if the issue is not resolved the Union will issue directives to those members who have not yet been provided with laptops. According to MUT it is ‘unacceptable to have educators being denied such basic tools’.
