An archpriest who has been in the middle of a controversy has posted a photo of a pizza in the shape of a Porsche to counter criticism he has received in the past days.

Zebbug archpriest Fr John Sultana was rapped on the social media for being pictured standing in a convertible Porche and being pulled around the streets of the town by children.

A spokesman for the Gozo Curia said the Church had no say over what festivities were held outside Church property during the instalment of a parish priest.

Fr Sultana himself insisted it was the negative reaction on social media and not his choice of vehicle that was out of place.
