After months of hard work, by the Committee of the Malta Drag Racing Association, this weekend is the time for the Final Event of 2018.

Everything is set for this event to be the biggest event in many years at Hal Far. 110 local and foreign participants, 13 dragsters in different classes, 2 cars from the Manx Drag Racing Assocition, a Model "T" owned by Peter Astell-Burt and Ian Merryweather's Banzai Dragster were shipped to Malta from the UK, and, a Jet Car of Nitro Lord arrived in Malta from Austria. Once again we shall be seeing Mr. Whippy's dragster, Champion of the 2012 FIA European Top Methanol Dragster and Malta's own 2017 FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion Duncan Micallef and their teams. Micallef will be once again trying to break his own record, which will also mean the record of our track. If this happens this will increase the respect and popularity that our track at Hal Far enjoys with the European Drag Racing Community. All other drivers are also expected to improve their own personal bests and many records are set to be broken. Anita Makela the current FIA European Top Fuel Dragster Champion is expected to visit Hal Far on Saturday afternoon.

Besides the competition between the 110 cars, this event should offer a unique show for all the family. Action starts on Thursday 22nd till Sunday 25th November from 11:00 onwards. The number of foreigners attending this event is expected to increase from previous years, and, Maltese Families are being invited to join and enjoy the show.
