"At the beginning of this campaign our main objective was that of finishing on top of the group. Of course we do not have a chance to do so but we are here in Malta to get a win. I was also quite surprised with the 0-5 Malta defeat and the result against Azerbaijan. Malta had more possession of the ball and they were doing good in the second half but football is like that. Yes we will have changes - one change from the team which started in our last 2-0 defeat in Baku to Azerbaijan,"  stated Faroe Islands head coach Lars Olsen during his team's press conference ahead of the UEFA Nations League League D, Group 3 match against Malta.

Faroe Islands' Haller Hansson also spoke about his team's 2-0 defeat to Azerbaijan in Baku. "We were simply not good enough. We couldn't even pass the ball to each other the way we are used to. OK Azerbaijan scored two good goals but we did not play to our usual level."
