A 42-year-old man from Fgura was seriously injured on Friday after falling from a lifter, the police said.

The accident took place in Triq il-Furnar, Qormi, at around 2.45pm.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit is leading an inquiry. The police are investigating.
