Futsal: Double clashes on top

In last Friday's night big matches, Luxol had the best from the direct encounter against their neighbours Swieqi United, winning 3-1. On the other hand champions Valletta won 8-3 against the University of Malta Students.

At the National Sport School's Pavillion Luxol and Swieqi United showed a good level of futsal. Luxol's goals came from their captain Mark Zammit, Celino Alves and George Frendo. Swieqi United's consolation goal came from Stefan Camilleri.

Meanwhile at the Corradino Sport Pavilion, the Universitarians had to bow in fornt of champions Valletta who remained unbeaten. The Citizens found the net through Jovica Milijic's hat-trick and a goal apiece for Daniel Saliba, Dylan Musu, Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomes, Denis Di Maio and Mohamed Lamari. The Universitarians had a brace from Lee Grech and a goal for Daniele De Gennaro.
