A woman, who allegedly assaulted three police officers while these were carrying out routine inspections in relation to irregular migrants on Tuesday, has been denied bail upon her arraignment today.

Isatou Bobb, a 22-year old, from Gambia and holder of an Italian residence permit, caused a disturbance when police officers entered her house in Victory Street, Qormi whilst carrying out their duties.

Magistrate Ian Farrugia heard how the woman had allegedly refused to submit her personal details to the police officers, disobeyed their lawful orders and became aggressive, scratching and biting a male constable.
