Nationalist Party deputy leader David Agius on Friday was elected vice-president of the European Union of Christian Democratic Workers of the European People’s Party.

Agius obtained 91.5% of the votes cast in the election, held during a congress in Vienna. German MEP Elmar Brok was elected president.

The EUCDW includes 24 workers’ movements from 18 EU states.
