Following the continued schedule flight disruptions after the closure of London Gatwick airport and other issues, Air Malta has leased two aircraft to minimise disruptions and serve its customers as they travel to meet their loved ones during Christmas.
Apart from rerouting passengers from London Gatwick onto its London Heathrow flight, and transfer its Gatwick bound flights to London Southend, Air Malta leased two aircraft to ensure disruptions are kept to a minimum, the airline said in a statement.
The aircraft are operating a number of the airline’s flights to ensure the schedule runs on time and minimise any disruptions. The aircraft will be based in Malta during the festive season to cover for any further disruptions that European airspace, airports or technical disruptions may cause and provide operational flexibility to Air Malta.
