A man was arrested by the police after cannabis and cocaine was discovered in a search in a car in Marsascala, the police said.

Rapid Intervention Unit officers carried out a search in the car and found 70 grammes of cannabis, sachets containing cocaine and cannabis resin.

Magistrate Simone Grech is conducting an inquiry.

The man is set to be arraigned in court on Monday.
