The low temperatures experienced in the last few days this morning led to a hail-storm that hit several parts of the island.
The storm lasted a few minutes but was enough to cover most of the roads and cars.
The fact that the temperature is a low 6-7 degrees also meant that the hailstones did not melt immediately.
The Meteorological Office of Malta is forecasting temperatures to fall to just four degrees tonight, with the highest to reach just 10 degrees toight.
The situation will improve as from tomorrow, with a high of 15 forecast with a low of 8 degrees.
It will be windy on both days, and showers are expected.
